The text you paste
The reading view, navigation, formatting, and detail detection run locally in your browser. The tool does not send that text to Fewer Barriers, an AI model, or a Fewer Barriers database. Clear the text or close the tab and the tool no longer has it.
Your browser, device, clipboard manager, extensions, or accessibility software may have their own history or data practices. Those systems are outside this project’s control.
What web hosting may process
Like almost every public website, the infrastructure that delivers this site may process ordinary request information such as an IP address, browser or device information, the requested page, time, and security events. This can be necessary to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and keep it reliable.
Fewer Barriers does not use that technical information for advertising, data brokerage, or behavioral profiling. Hosting providers may retain limited operational or security logs under their own practices and legal duties.
Cookies, analytics, and advertising
Fewer Barriers does not run advertising, marketing trackers, or behavioral analytics, and does not set its own advertising or analytics cookies. We do not sell personal information or share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
Optional read-aloud voices
Read aloud uses the browser’s Web Speech capability. Depending on your device, browser, operating system, and selected voice, spoken text may be sent to a service operated by that provider. Fewer Barriers does not choose or operate that voice service.
If your text is sensitive and you do not know whether your voice works offline, do not use the Listen control. The rest of the reader works without speech.
External links and email
Links to standards bodies and other websites have their own privacy practices. If you email us, your message is handled by your email provider and ours. Please describe the problem without pasting private or sensitive letter text into the email.
Your choices and questions
Because there is no account and the tool does not receive your pasted text, Fewer Barriers normally has no tool text to provide, correct, or delete. For a privacy question—or to ask about an email you sent—contact us at ciaranpaulroche@gmail.com.
If this policy changes materially, the effective date on this page will change. We will not quietly turn locally processed text into remotely processed text.
